Maintenance Tech- Apartment Maintenance – Service Tech
 
Aimco is searching for a Lead Maintenance Technician at our Hunt Club Apartments in Germantown, MD

As a Lead Service Tech, you are responsible for the appearance and working order of individual apartments, exterior and common areas. While the size of the property determines your day to day tasks, with smaller properties requiring more hands on work, at the end of the day you are responsible for both resident satisfaction and your team’s success. In this Lead Maintenance role, you:
 
Requirements: 
In addition to your technical experience with Maintenance, electrical, HVAC and mechanical systems and their maintenance and repair, you have a proven customer service and leadership skills. While you know your way around hand tools and power tools, you have demonstrated experience including:
 
  • EPA Universal/ HVAC Certified
  • 5-7 years Of Experience as a Maintenance Tech/ Lead Service Technician
  • A Service Technician must have knowledge with carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC skills.
  • A Service Technician must have strong communication and follow-up skills, both with residents and other team members.
  • Must have a team player attitude and take direction from a Service Manager.
  • In property management, evenings and weekends are par for the course.  The ideal candidate needs schedule flexibility to accommodate a 7 day workweek, and be willing to be on call.
  • Multi-tasking and adaptation are key elements to success!  The Service Technician must efficiently handle a changing environment and be capable of dealing with multiple people and various situations simultaneously.
  • Be prepared for physical activity!  The Service Technician must be able and willing to move heavy equipment and machinery.
